On 30 March 2023 Robin Radar Systems joined the NL-RIA knowledge network. Contact person is Silvester Heijnen. Robin Radar Systems builds advanced bird and drone detection radars delivering processed information in real time thanks to a high level of digital processing and control. Now, they plan to step into the world of spaceborne radars by building for NL-RIA a miniature Ka-band radar altimeter for a microsat. A project proposal was recently submitted to NSO, together with other NL-RIA partners. Robin Radar Systems is used to build small series of radar instruments satisfying military specifications and operating in harsh conditions. As such they are not afraid of space as a new environment to work for.
